Speaker 1:

Oh, chickawawa, what's up? Party people, welcome to another episode of Elkivate your Life. I am your hostess, with the mostess L as in the letter L and Ki as in the key to your heart. Well, to all my loyal listeners, I am happy to announce, here on this Wisdom Wellness Wednesday here on this Wisdom Wellness Wednesday, july 2nd, that we are just two days away from my annual podcast anniversary. So thank you all for your loyalty. Thank you for listening, thank you for watching. I hope I have been making it worth your while. Want to give a special shout out to my loyal subscribers, lisa Roberts Curbelo, looking forward to seeing you at that Grooveline Wise Girls birthday party, double birthday party. Hope to see you there. Thanks for tuning in, roger.

Speaker 1:

Roger Havens, how is your gardening growing? Roger is known for his beautiful technique in gardening skills. I have to tell you, I cannot keep a plant alive to save my life, not even aloe vera. Okay, that's how pathetic I am. Every plant I've had I've over watered, under watered, too much sun. Yeah, so I don't have a green thumb, which means shout out to Sarah. Sarah, who is also one who appreciates gardening and is great with plants. So next time I get something, I'm coming to you and Roger for advice. Hope you are doing well, roger, and that the dating pool is opening itself up to more knowledge and optimism. I'm going to be doing a lot more episodes on the dating, but this time around I wanted to just touch base and wish everyone a soon-to-be happy 4th of July.

Speaker 1:

What are your 4th of July traditions? So once upon a time I used to be able to sit outside where I live and literally just lay my blanket out and watch the fireworks that I could see from the fair. Anymore, unfortunately, and now it seems like anywhere in the Tri-Valley area they are not doing fireworks. So what does everybody do? Where does everybody go? Do we have to drive to the city? Oakland, san Ramon, walnut Creek, livermore when does everybody go? What do you do?

Speaker 1:

I know a lot of people like to barbecue. Well, since the mister is vegetarian, barbecue is hardly in our vocabulary, not to say that you can't barbecue veggies and other things. But he barely eats fish, although he loves his bagels and lox, growing up Jewish, so he will eat that on the occasion. But other than that, we don't do barbecue. We definitely do the whole go out in the sun and spend time in the sun. But what is everyone's 4th of July tradition? Are you one that puts up 50 flags for every state? Because that is another thing that my husband says is his tradition and does, and I'm curious is that a thing for everybody or is that just his thing? I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Would love to hear your feedback on this one. Also, shout out to Professor Kyle. Dr Kyle, kyle Few. Commitment to love. Love is a verb. You can find his audible on Amazon.

Speaker 1:

If you're looking to lose some weight, naturally look no further than Angie Germer, thrive Lavelle and all of these people. You can find their links on my page. If you don't know it, their links on my page. If you don't know it, you can't find it. Please feel free to text me a response through the apps.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people leave comments through the, my youtube channel, which I am heavily promoting. Eventually I might move over to patreon. I do have a linked tree that has all of my links put together so you can find me everywhere. Elkivate your Life podcast on Facebook. Elkivate podcast Instagram, all the common podcast platforms, apple, spotify, amazon Music, podcaster, deezer too many others to list, and Mike Kaufman, thank you for being a loyal subscriber and listener. If you can ever get your company to come around to sponsoring or subscribing to me, that'd be great. I'd love to talk about the water that you guys provide for the Tri-Valley. Did I cover everyone? I think so, other than loyal listeners, which I would be here all night and it would take up my entire podcast. But thank you loyal listeners such as Cara oh Cara, Cara Kenfield, cara Caralovemyartistetsycom.

Speaker 1:

If you haven't looked at her website, ladies and gents, you got to look at it. She has a lot of songs that she has copywritten for if you are planning on getting married this summer, you know it's wedding season and you want to make it special by asking your maid of honor. By asking your maid of honor, she has a special song that you can dedicate and present to it, which is so lovely and unique. I think it's such a great idea. And she has several other song options for various occasions anniversary, birthday, proposal, as well as clothing line, paintings, artistry, all kinds of stuff Too much for me to go into, but I can tell you the purple, purple, black and white, zebra print backpack and matching boots.

Speaker 1:

I want those by this fall, darn it. Um. And yes, I've been stocking them. For how long now? It's been forever that I've been stocking them on lovemyartistetsycom. Very unique, genuine leather from Italy, very unique, stylish clothing and artistry. So highly recommend you guys checking it out, artistry. So highly recommend you guys checking it out.

Speaker 1:

So it's a beautiful day in my neighborhood and again I'm just curious what are everyone's 4th of July traditions? Do you go with friends? Do you go wine tasting? Do you go to a barbecue? Do you go to the fair? Do you just eat, drink and be merry and look for somewhere that has fireworks? And if you're in the Tri-Valley, I would love to hear your feedback. Where do I go? Where do I go to find some fireworks? Because it's one of the most important holidays that I like to honor and appreciate our freedom, especially in this time that we're in, with all the chaos going on around us, everything we're watching on the news and reading on social media. It's such an important time for us to come together and embrace family, friends, freedom and all the wonderful things that we have living where we live.

Speaker 1:

Shout out to Travis for your podcast ideas. I haven't had the opportunity to delve in as much as I'd like, but I do want to get to a point. In fact, I'm trying to make arrangements to have some guests on the show for next week and would love to hear your ideas and thoughts. So please make it a point to write in, like, share, subscribe to my youtube channel. I'm at 147 subscribers right now. I could definitely use more, would like more, would appreciate more. Use more, would like more, would appreciate more. And just want to make sure that I'm getting the word out, spreading the word about Mindful Mondays and Wisdom Wellness Wednesdays and, like I said, travis and Roger, I'm going to be bringing the dating topic back, talking about women's opinions, man's opinions, body count.

Speaker 1:

What do we think about that? This new area we're living in of women not wanting to get married and feminism, women not wanting to get married and feminism and did feminine, did feminism ruin it for the chivalrous men? And you know I have a lot of thoughts and feelings and opinions around this, especially because being raised by a single mother and being a single mother for 20 years, I can tell you, was no easy feat. I had to become the alpha female because I had to be the woman and the man when I was raising my kids and the man when I was raising my kids and I had to think fast on the draw. You know, be quick to think out of the box when there were crises happening no food, no money, no rent. No, you know, teaching my son how to throw a football or baseball or play catch and just a lot of different things where I had to be both roles. So I definitely want to delve deeper into those topics and I'm really hoping to get millennial or Gen Z perspective on these things.

Speaker 1:

So I'm hoping to have some guests in the house next Monday or Wednesday, but do want to say thank you, thank you for tuning in on my two day away annual podcast. Thank you so much for listening, for watching. Like I said, please remember to like, share and subscribe. It helps the algorithm. It gets me out there. Shout out to Sunshine Saloon for their taco Tuesday, where we were last evening. Shout out to Bob, the owner, and shout out to Persimmon Dental in Persimmon Plaza over on Martinelli Way, who have been keeping my teeth healthy, white, clean. If you happen to go to Persimmon Dental, if you're looking for someone, be sure to use the hashtag Elkivate and that's it. That's all I have for this evening guys. Have a great, safe, fun Fourth of July and be sure to like, share, subscribe, comment, share your feedback and that's it. Ciao, for now.
