Christmas Eve Traditions, Gratitude, And Joy
The holidays shine brightest through the small rituals we choose to keep. We open the door to our Christmas Eve—candlelight service, light-filled neighborhoods synced to carols, and a cozy breakfast in pajamas on the Delta King—and invite you to share the traditions that anchor your joy. A broken tripod and a snoring pup can’t dim the warmth; they become part of the story, a reminder that imperfect moments are often the most real.
We talk about family shifts with honesty: parents and grandparents who are gone, kids who celebrate in new cities, and the ways we build connection across distance. Traditions bend without breaking—an evening drive, a quiet candle, a shared playlist—and gratitude becomes a steady practice rather than a slogan. We ask what you keep alive on Christmas Eve and why it matters, because naming your rituals is a way of choosing who you want to be with the people you love.
Along the way, we celebrate our community with heartfelt shoutouts to loyal listeners, creators, and friends who have supported this journey. We also mention a wellness resource for those seeking natural ways to fill nutritional gaps, reflecting a broader theme of caring for mind and body through the season. If you’re looking for a companionable listen that blends warmth, humor, and reflection—and encourages you to share your own story—you’ll feel right at home here.
Share your favorite tradition, tell us what you’re grateful for, and pass this episode to someone who could use a gentle, festive boost. Remember to Like thumbs up, Subscribe, and Please leave a review, and join us next week as we head into the new year together.

Oh, chickow wow. What's up, party people? Thank you for tuning in to another episode of LKVate your life. I am your hostess with the most S. L is in the letter L and key as in the key to your heart. Unfortunately, I can't do the heart because I'm holding my phone with my other hand. Because my why am I not remembering what it is? My device that holds my phone. My I'm totally having a senior brain fart moment. Anyway, uh yeah, my phone holder slash recorder slash lighting. Oh my god, all of you guys are saying the word and I can't think of it. Needless to say. Upon adjusting it and the lights and trying to put the phone in the device, um, my tripod. It broke. So you got me holding the phone and recording via audio all at the same time. So Merry Christmas Eve, happy wisdom, wellness Wednesday. What are your Christmas Eve traditions? I would love to hear them. So, as for myself and Mister, traditionally we go to look at lights every year. Sometimes we drive through Candy Cane Lane. It's a neighborhood where we can tune in our radio to listen to Christmas music based on the neighborhood. And we drive through and walk through and look at the lights and the neighborhood that comes together and decorates. We also go to the candlelight visual service on Christmas Eve. That's something that we've done the past couple years, and we really enjoy that celebrating the reason for the season. And although I tell you I don't talk about politics and religion, this is one time that we do that. Um so those are some of our traditions. I would love to hear what are some of your traditions. And since we are on wisdom wellness Wednesday, I would love to ask, other than your Christmas Eve traditions, do you have an attitude of gratitude? Is there something that you want to express to your partner, to your loved ones, to your family, to whomever you have the pleasure of being in their company? Because I'll be honest, uh, Mr. and I don't have our parents anymore or our grandparents, only cousins that we don't necessarily see because they live elsewhere, andor brothers and sisters that we also don't have the pleasure of seeing. Although the other tradition we have is we go to the Delta King every year, usually Christmas Eve to Christmas Day, stay on the Delta King, go to breakfast in our Christmas PJs the following morning on Christmas morning. Uh, this year we're doing it a little bit later, and my daughter Brooklyn has moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and spending time with her boyfriend's family. So I won't be seeing her, but we will be seeing our sons and going to the Delta King and doing all that stuff. So would love to hear what you are doing for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. Sorry, trying to get the baby in here, but she is um yeah, not necessarily wanting to be on camera. Do you want to be on camera, babies? Now you see the culprit of the snoring Chanel. Now you can put a face to the snore. Anyway, I hope that you are all having an amazing Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas to all of you. Thank you to all my loyal listeners and subscribers. Jeff Para, Namaste, I appreciate you. Thank you for being a loyal subscriber all this time. Creative Kara of Love My Etsy. Sorry, lovemyartist.etsy.com. Um, her snores just crack me up. Um, lovemyartist.ety.com. Yes. Check out her amazing arts, crafts, paintings, pictures, clothing line, um, video montages for various occasions. Let's see. Uh Lisa Roberts Corbello, Merry Christmas to you. Hope you're having an amazing holiday with your loved ones. And Mike Kaufman, thank you for being a loyal subscriber. Travis Lemire, thank you for always listening. Uh, same to you, Andrew. Merry Christmas. Hope you're having an amazing Christmas. Uh, who am I leaving out? Kyle Phew, Dr. Kyle, Professor Kyle. Thank you for being a loyal subscriber. Also, Roger. Roger Havens, thank you for being a loyal subscriber, listener. Um, not necessarily commentator. In fact, I don't think Mr. Mike Kaufman has commented on my last podcast. Shame on shame on you both. Anyway, I appreciate your feedback. It means a lot. If you remember to like, subscribe, comment, it really means a lot. Thank you to my new subscriber, Jiza. Pleasure meeting you and being in your company. And I want to make sure that I remember everybody. Did I get everybody? Uh, Angie, Angie Germer. Merry Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas. Hope you and your family are having a lovely time. And to any of you that are looking for weight loss, weight gain, muscle mass, um, need basically, if you need any help, she offers various different all-natural supplements that fill the nutritional gaps in your body. So uh, Angie with Thrive, Lavelle, all of these links can be found in my podcast. And yes, just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas Eve, a Merry Christmas. Obviously, I will be back in action next week for the new year. Um, but until then, ciao for now. Ciao for now. Merry Christmas.
